Terms and Conditions





These Terms and Conditions govern participation in any programme, course, training, workshop, membership, masterclass, retreat, group coaching programme, supervision group or educational offering delivered by Jayne Morris and/or Balanceology ("Balanceology", "we", "us", "our").
By purchasing, enrolling in, accessing or participating in a Balanceology programme, you ("Participant", "you", "your") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. ABOUT BALANCEOLOGY
Balanceology is a professional coaching, training and educational business founded by Jayne Morris MCC.

2. NATURE OF THE PROGRAMMES
Balanceology programmes are designed for educational, professional development and personal growth purposes.
Programmes may include:
• Self-study learning materials
• Live training sessions
• Group coaching
• Demonstration coaching sessions
• Workshops
• Reflective exercises
• Community discussions
• Resource libraries
• Supervision or mentoring elements where specified
Balanceology programmes are not therapy, counselling, psychotherapy, psychiatric treatment, crisis intervention or medical treatment.
Participation in a programme does not establish a therapist-client, medical practitioner-patient or supervisory relationship unless explicitly agreed in writing under a separate contract.
3. PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITY
You acknowledge and agree that:
• You remain responsible for your own decisions, actions and wellbeing
• You are responsible for determining whether a programme is suitable for your circumstances
• You are responsible for seeking appropriate professional support where required
• Results cannot be guaranteed and individual outcomes will vary
• Participation does not guarantee any particular professional, personal or commercial outcome
You agree to provide accurate information when enrolling and to notify us of any significant changes that may affect your participation.
4. HEALTH, WELLBEING AND SAFEGUARDING
If you are experiencing significant mental health difficulties, acute trauma symptoms, suicidal ideation, addiction, severe psychological distress or any situation requiring clinical intervention, we may recommend that you seek appropriate professional support.
Balanceology reserves the right to decline, postpone or discontinue participation where we believe a programme is no longer appropriate for a participant's needs or where safeguarding concerns arise.
If we believe there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others, we may disclose information to relevant authorities or professionals where required by law, ethics or safeguarding obligations.
If at any time you believe yourself to be in crisis or in need of emergency assistance, you agree to seek appropriate emergency support immediately.
5. CONFIDENTIALITY
Balanceology will treat information shared by participants confidentially except where:
• Disclosure is required by law
• Disclosure is necessary to prevent serious harm
• Professional ethical obligations require disclosure
• Information is already publicly available
6. GROUP CONFIDENTIALITY
Many Balanceology programmes include group learning environments.
Participants agree to maintain the confidentiality of all personal, professional and business information shared by other participants during:
• Live sessions
• Group discussions
• Breakout rooms
• Community platforms
• Online forums
• Networking spaces
• Retreats and in-person events
Information shared within the learning environment must not be disclosed outside of that environment without the explicit consent of the individual concerned.
This obligation continues indefinitely after the programme ends.
7. DEMONSTRATION SESSION CONFIDENTIALITY
Balanceology programmes may include live or recorded demonstration coaching sessions involving volunteer clients, participants or guest contributors.
These demonstrations are provided solely for educational purposes.
Participants agree to:
• Treat all demonstration content as strictly confidential
• Respect the privacy and dignity of demonstration participants
• Not disclose, discuss, share or repeat personal information revealed during demonstrations
• Not identify demonstration participants to any third party
• Not record, download, reproduce or distribute demonstration content
• Not use demonstration content for teaching, supervision, research, publications, social media or presentations without explicit written consent
This obligation continues indefinitely after completion of the programme.
8. COMMUNITY STANDARDS
Participants agree to contribute respectfully to the learning environment.
The following behaviours are not permitted:
• Harassment
• Bullying
• Discrimination
• Intimidation
• Abuse
• Breaches of confidentiality
• Disruptive behaviour
• Deliberate misinformation
• Infringement of intellectual property rights
Balanceology reserves the right to suspend or remove participants whose behaviour compromises the safety, wellbeing or learning experience of others.
9. PROGRAMME ACCESS
Programme access will be provided as described in the relevant Appendix A – Programme Particulars.
Unless otherwise stated, access to programme learning materials is provided for a period of twelve (12) months as follows:
• For live group programmes, access will commence on the official programme start date
• For self-study programmes, access will commence on the date of purchase
Access includes any course materials, recordings, worksheets, resources and learning content made available as part of the programme.
Unless otherwise stated:
• Access is granted to the registered participant only
• Login details may not be shared
• Access may not be transferred to another person
• Participants are responsible for downloading any downloadable resources they wish to retain before access expires
• Balanceology reserves the right to update, amend, improve, replace or remove programme materials in order to maintain accuracy, relevance and quality
At the end of the access period, participants' access to the learning platform and programme materials may be withdrawn without further notice.
Any extended access, alumni access, membership access or ongoing community access will be specified separately within the relevant Programme Particulars.
10. FEES, PAYMENT AND PAYMENT PLANS
Programme fees are set out within the relevant Programme Particulars.
Payment must be received in accordance with the payment terms selected at enrolment.
Where payment plans are offered:
• Instalments remain due regardless of participation levels
• Failure to complete a programme does not cancel outstanding payments
• Access may be suspended where payments become overdue
11. REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
Refund rights will be outlined within the relevant Programme Particulars.
Where digital content has been accessed immediately following purchase, participants acknowledge that statutory cancellation rights may be affected in accordance with applicable consumer legislation.
No refunds will be provided for:
• Failure to attend live sessions
• Failure to complete the programme
• Failure to access materials provided
• Removal due to breaches of these Terms
12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All programme materials remain the intellectual property of Jayne Morris and/or Balanceology.
This includes, but is not limited to:
• Frameworks
• Models
• Methodologies
• Assessments
• Worksheets
• Manuals
• Slides
• Training materials
• Videos
• Audio recordings
• Resource libraries
• Diagrams
• Graphics
• Written content
• Course structures
• Demonstration recordings
• Proprietary language and terminology
No ownership rights are transferred to participants.
13. PERMITTED USE
Participants are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use programme materials for:
• Personal learning
• Reflection
• Professional development
• Application within their own 1:1 coaching, mentoring, leadership, consulting or professional practice
14. RESTRICTED USE
Participants may not:
• Copy or reproduce programme materials
• Share materials with non-participants
• Upload materials to shared drives
• Sell programme materials
• Redistribute recordings
• Remove copyright notices
• Repackage materials as their own
• Create derivative frameworks substantially based upon Balanceology intellectual property
15. TRAINING, FACILITATION AND COMMERCIAL USE
Completion of a Balanceology programme does not grant permission to:
• Teach Balanceology methodologies
• Certify others
• Deliver Balanceology training
• Reproduce programme materials
• Incorporate Balanceology content into commercial courses
• Deliver workshops using Balanceology frameworks, tools, exercises or methodologies
• Create licensed programmes based on Balanceology intellectual property
Participants wishing to use Balanceology methodologies within workshops, corporate training, group coaching programmes, memberships, certifications or other commercial learning products must obtain a separate written licence from Balanceology.
16. CERTIFICATION AND REPRESENTATION
Completion of a Balanceology programme does not entitle a participant to describe themselves as:
• A Balanceology Trainer
• A Balanceology Faculty Member
• A Balanceology Assessor
• A Balanceology Supervisor
• A Licensed Balanceology Provider
• A Balanceology Partner
Unless separately authorised in writing by Balanceology.
17. RECORDINGS AND AI USE
Participants may not:
• Record live sessions unless explicitly authorised
• Upload programme materials to AI systems
• Upload recordings, transcripts or handbooks to AI training systems
• Use AI tools to reproduce, replicate or distribute substantial portions of Balanceology intellectual property
• Create derivative products using programme content
18. PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT
Participants remain responsible for operating within their own professional qualifications, competencies, ethical codes and scope of practice.
Nothing within a Balanceology programme authorises a participant to practise outside their professional competence.
19. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Nothing within these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion would be unlawful.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Balanceology shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or special losses arising from participation in any programme.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the participant for the programme in question.
20. FORCE MAJEURE
Balanceology shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control including but not limited to:
• Natural disasters
• Serious illness
• Government restrictions
• Power failures
• Internet outages
• Industrial disputes
• Acts of terrorism
• War
Where possible, alternative arrangements will be made.
21. TERMINATION
Balanceology reserves the right to withdraw access to a programme where:
• Terms are breached
• Confidentiality is breached
• Intellectual property is infringed
• Community standards are violated
• Payments remain outstanding
22. CHANGES TO PROGRAMMES
Balanceology reserves the right to make reasonable changes to programme content, delivery methods, guest speakers, schedules or materials where necessary.
23. SURVIVAL OF OBLIGATIONS
Expiry of programme access or completion of a programme does not affect a participant's ongoing obligations relating to:
• Confidentiality
• Group confidentiality
• Demonstration session confidentiality
• Intellectual property
• Permitted use
• Restricted use
• Licensing restrictions
These obligations survive termination or completion of participation.
24. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
25. ACCEPTANCE
By ticking the acceptance box, enrolling in a programme, accessing programme materials or participating in a Balanceology programme, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Electronic acceptance shall constitute a legally binding agreement between the participant and Balanceology.
