Our course brings research-backed brain science, evolutionary theory, and psychological insights to life, offering a deep exploration of human nature and its relevance to coaching. Module 1: Away and Towards
Week 1 - Introduction to programme. Neuroplasticity and neural competition. Perspectives on personal development. Models of Change.
Week 2 - How the threat circuitry hinders growth. The DREADED model of universal threats. Us vs them. Oxytocin and support.
Week 3 - Stress and Eustress. The science of scarcity and overwhelm. Procrastination cycles. Expectations and the dopaminergic system.
Week 4 - Ambiguity networks. Devaluation, serotonin and pain networks. Exploitation and assertiveness.
Module 2: Top-Down and Bottom-Up
Week 5 - Integrating useful CBT techniques in coaching. The power of taking action. The neuroscience of decision making. Habits and neuroscience.
Week 6 - Balancing attentional networks. “Self” networks. Task-driven networks. The default mode network. Mindfulness.
Week 7 - Body feedback. Vagal stimulation. Communicating with the subconscious. Art and metaphor.
Week 8 - Trauma and ethics. How we lose ourselves. Reconnecting with exiled “parts”. Overidentification and the persona.


Module 3: Updating the Roadmap
Week 9 - The neuroscience of beliefs. Confirmation bias and salience networks. Introduction to memory reconsolidation.
Week 10 - The nature of core beliefs. How to find implicit beliefs. Vital aspects of target learnings.
Week 11 - Prediction errors and enduring change. How to introduce prediction errors. Introduction to emotional freedom technique (EFT).
Week 12 - Revisiting “parts”. Memory consolidation. Reflections. Implications for moving forward.
