Course Lead: Jayne Morris

Jayne is the UK’s Leading Executive Burnout Coach, a Master Certified Coach (ICF MCC), bestselling author of Burnout to Brilliance: Strategies for Sustainable Success, and founder of Balanceology, an ICF-accredited, NQUAL-endorsed training centre offering burnout, neurodiversity, somatics, and neuroscience for CPD and supervision for coaches. Jayne’s journey into this work began nearly 20 years ago, following her own lived experience of burnout. At the time, she was outwardly thriving - working at pace, meeting expectations, and ticking external success boxes - yet inwardly, she felt overwhelmed, disconnected, and depleted. As a result of burning the candle at both ends for too long, she experienced chronic fatigue, vertigo that rendered her bedbound for six months. Her recovery from burnout was a personal turning point that led her on a path of deep exploration and recovery. Today, she’s helped thousands of clients - from global CEOs to social impact founders - do the same. Her integrative approach to burnout recovery combines neuroscience-informed coaching, Integrative Art Psychotherapy, and embodied tools drawn from over 20 years of martial arts (Jayne holds three black belts). She weaves in modalities such as Transactional Analysis, NLP, Functional Fluency, and somatic practice, offering practical yet powerful interventions that are trauma-informed, ethically grounded, and rooted in care. Jayne is a Fellow of the Association for Coaching (AC), a Master Practitioner with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), and an Associate Board Member of the UK ICF. She mentors, supervises and assesses coaches on the flagship Barefoot Coaching PG Cert programme and is committed to raising industry standards across all levels of the profession. Through her work with individuals and organisations - including the NHS, United Nations, Ericsson and SKY - Jayne has supported systemic change around wellbeing, burnout prevention, and psychological safety. She regularly appears as a guest expert on BBC radio, TV, and podcasts, and has been featured in The Telegraph, The Guardian, Psychologies Magazine, The Huffington Post, and The Independent. Jayne hosts transformative 3-day retreats by the coast in North Somerset, near Bristol, where she lives with her family and four-legged companions. When not coaching, writing or speaking, she can be found sea swimming, wandering in nature, or championing her mission: to restore communities of care – in workplaces, in coaching, and in life.

She offers tailored workshops, 1:1 coaching, and evidence-based interventions to help leaders recognise and address the early signs of burnout. Her approach is rooted in supporting individuals - particularly those in underrepresented industries - to set boundaries, advocate for their wellbeing, and lead in ways that are true to their values. ​ Kai-Nneka is also a certified DiSC® Practitioner, using this powerful framework to enhance communication, teamwork, and productivity in organisations. Through her compassionate leadership, she facilitates cultural and behavioural change that lasts. ​ As co-host of the upcoming series of the Burnout to Brilliance podcast and with lived experience of burnout herself, Kai-Nneka’s contribution to this programme brings both insight and inspiration.

We will provide plenty of signposting to resources that you may find useful to engage with.

Programme Structure

Weekly Call Format: 12 Weeks – Tuesdays – 4 x 45 minute sessions each week – 9am/ 10am/ 11am/ 12pm

Every Tuesday during the programme, you’ll be invited to join up to four live 45-minute calls. These sessions offer rhythm, depth, and spaciousness. You can attend all four each week or choose the ones that suit your energy levels and availability. Every element is optional - this is about your learning and recovery, at your pace.

9:00–9:45am

Soft Landing

This gentle session helps you reconnect with your body and tune into the subtle signals it offers. Burnout recovery starts with slowing down and re-learning how to listen to what’s been whispered - or shouted - by your nervous system. Soft Landing includes a rotating blend of guided meditations, breathwork, body movement, voice work, wild writing, drawing, doodling, painting and playful exploration. Each week offers a different practice to help you discover what resonates and build it into your own toolkit of sustainable, self-soothing strategies.

10:00–10:45am

What You Need to Know

Each week you’ll receive a bitesize learning session covering essential burnout insights: the latest research, neuroscience-informed tools, and practical exercises to deepen your recovery. These sessions explore the foundational pillars of self-listening, self-compassion, and emotional resilience - all delivered in accessible, inspiring ways.

11:00–11:45am

Laser Coaching

Jayne offers a live coaching session with one group member each week. These powerful, confidential sessions are not recorded - so what’s shared remains in the moment. Whether you’re being coached or witnessing, you’ll gain invaluable insight into your own patterns, healing journey, and post-burnout reinvention.

12:00–12:45pm

Q&A with Jayne

Bring your questions and your curiosity. Jayne draws on nearly two decades of experience - and thousands of client journeys - to respond to the real-life nuances of burnout recovery. These conversations illuminate hidden patterns, offer practical next steps, and help normalise the wide range of experiences you may be navigating.

Call Recordings & Resources: 

Soft Landing and What You Need to Know calls will be recorded

(Jayne’s screen only – not you as a participant) and made available on our learning platform.


Laser Coaching will not be recorded to preserve confidentiality.
 

Q&A Sessions will be transcribed anonymously. Key themes and answers will be compiled into a go-to guide you can revisit throughout and after the programme.
