Jay Maclean

Office Manager

Jay ran her own business for 3 years straight from college, then worked for BMW for 5 years in administration, marketing and event management, followed by a further 3 years with Mercedes Benz.

She is one of the most well organised people we know and ensures Balanceology HQ is always ready to welcome our clients for group workshops and 1:1 sessions.

Jay absolutely adores animals and Blade’s tail never stops wagging when she is around.

Fun fact: Alongside working for Balanceology, Jay also helps out at a Cat Hotel!  She would secretly love to live on a farm, so when we one day move to a bigger work space and are able to accommodate more animals Jay will be in her element!

Tanja Flintoff

Business Development Manager

The majority of Tanja’s career was spent at MTV in London where much of her role involved expanding the franchise across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

As well as advising on the strategic side of the business, Tanja advises on brand, tone and the growing of our audience across social media platforms.

Tanja has a proven background in developing and nurturing relationships with entrepreneurs, start-up businesses, SMEs and larger organisations.

Tanja is passionate about improving understanding and awareness of workplace burnout and thrilled to be working with Balanceology.

Tanja is never happier than when she is singing and cooking with her son, and her playful puppy Mia provides daily doses of cuteness whenever on Zoom calls.

Sue Mercer

Technical and Executive Support Assistant

Having originally qualified as a Mechanical Engineer, Sue's working life has essentially involved finding solutions and implementing them for a whole range of clients and across a diverse set of industries.

Over the years, Sue has developed a wealth of tech and organisational skills and is not fazed by new apps and products – and can normally get her head around most things!

When not working or looking after her teenage children, you’ll find Sue out running on the wonderful trails around the beautiful City of Bath or swimming in a cold open water lake.

Fun fact: Sue swam to the Isle of Wight from the mainland across one of the world's busiest waterways to fulfil a childhood dream (and raise money for charity).
